Greetings members,
2021 was a year to remember. In April, the Education Committee provided a virtual session: Help! I’ve Been Assigned to Blood Bank! The panelist did a great job answering questions and giving helpful tips for reducing anxiety when you feel like blood bank has evolved faster than you can keep up with the changes.
For the 67th Annual Meeting, Planning Committee members worked very hard to provide the best educational experience at minimal cost. Our virtual conference included a new option for a lunchtime intermission where attendees could chat with vendors in breakout rooms. Attendees could see new product brochures and get questions answered about new products, services and equipment.
I would like to give a special thank you to all the committee members for their continued efforts in improving our local organization. Just as in previous conferences, the speakers from across the nation were engaging and insightful.
We are always looking for fresh ideas and new members. If you are interested and want to share your talents, please contact any board member or committee member. This organization has a long history of mentorship which will help you grow your leadership skills. I can attest to the rewarding relationships I have gained through networking in our local association. I look forward to seeing you at our next Annual
Meeting which will be held on September 21 and 22, 2022.
